"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars." — Proverbs 9:1
The Word of God speaks to these seven pillars that will design a successful, healthy and purposeful life for those who trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We continue to preach, teach, hold workshops, train and expound the principles of God that speak to these seven pillars. They are the core teachings of Life by Design Ministries.† Worship
† Purpose and Position
† Community/Social Service
Pillar 1: Worship
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." — St. John 4:23-24
The Worship pillar that Wisdom used to build her house is the one pillar that brings life and stability to all of the other pillars. One would be hard pressed to find a place to geometrically place this pillar. Man does not build with an odd number, but seven is God’s number for completion, and six is God’s number for man. You see, man is not complete without God. Your relationships, family, finances, social status, health and even your purposeful position will be lifeless when there is no worship of God in your life. God came looking for Adam in the Garden of Eden at worship time. God is still seeking the true worshippers. It’s at His feet, the position of worship, that God sups with us.
Pillar 2: Purpose and Position
When God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into man, man became a living soul. Then God place man into the garden and charged man to keep the garden and name the animals. He placed man and gave man a job to do. Each man has a unique design plan created by God. His thoughts towards us have created an expected end that will fulfill His divine purpose for our lives. This purpose, if found and lived out will add meaning to our days and produce a harvest that will bless ourselves and others. We need not only find our purpose but we must find it and live it out in the position that has been design for us. I call this “living in your purposeful position”. Right place, right purpose. If you really want your life to have meaning, then you must begin your journey in God to discover your purpose and position in the body of Christ. Life by Design Ministries is committed to the teaching of God’s word to help believers find and live out their purpose and position in Christ.
Pillar 3: Relationships/Family
“It is not good that Man should be alone.” — Genesis 2:18
After making Adam, God realized that Adam had no one like himself. No one to mate with, to help, to share. For the first time God said this is NOT GOOD. Relationships are a major key in our make up and a major source of our pain. This is a design from God that begins before courtship that prepares one for walking in the design of oneness. Oneness is the design of two whole parts coming together to form one synergetic whole. God formed Eve out of Adam, and presented her to him as a helpmeet. Life by Design Ministries desires to teach believers from courtship through marriage about God’s Design for oneness. Our relationships must be by God’s design.
Pillar 4: Community/Social Service
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." — Matthew 22:37-39
We have a sincere desire to effect change beyond the four walls of the church by helping to meet the spiritual, social, economical, and physical needs of lost and hurting people in our community. In doing so we fulfill the commandment given by God. We believe this can be accomplished through:
- Job Fair partnerships and Job Readiness Programs
- Informational Seminars
- Community Outreach Initiatives
- Community Service
Pillar 5: Health
"Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward. — Isaiah 58:8
God is our healer, and with His stripes, we are healed. Healing is the repairing of brokenness in health. God also has a design for healthy living. We may be in the evening of our lives and bad habits may have done their damage, but it is not too late to start a new pattern of living that our children and grandchildren can live out. Making small adjustments in our diet and exercising can give us victory regarding our health. Believe God for healing when you need healing, but start believing God for healthy living today.
Pillar 6: Prosperity
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers." — III John 2
We serve a God who’s more than enough. It is His good pleasure to give unto His children. His desire is that we prosper in relationships to the prospering of our souls. God wants us to have things, but never for things to have us. God has purpose for your prospering and wants to reveal His Godly design for all that He has blessed you with. It’s not about bigger barns but using provision for purpose.
Pillar 7: Education
St. John 4:23-24
Philippians 3: 7-14 Verse 12 –"Not as though I had already attained (achieved), either were already perfect (complete); but I follow after (pursue), if that I may apprehend (grasp) that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus."
See the message version “The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I am tearing up and throwing out with the trash long with everything I use to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ….”
"Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth." — II Timothy 2:15
We are committed to teaching the word of God to help believers understand and apply the principles for living the abundant life God has designed for all who trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We encourage, support and provide safe multi faceted opportunities for lifelong learning; because we understand that God loves to see people grow.
We provide opportunities for differentiated word study to meet the spiritual needs of adults, youth and children. We support efforts and celebrate accomplishments in personal development, professional growth and academic achievement.
